Paulton Library

Paulton Library reopened in September 2020 as a Community Library. It is staffed by a team of Volunteer Library Assistants under the management of Paulton Parish Council. The Library remains part of Bath and North East Somerset Library Service and continues to have access to all services and books in the Libraries West Group. Current Opening Hours Monday 2-4pmTuesday 10-12.30Wednesday 10-12.30Thursday 10-12.30 and 2-4pmFriday 10-12.30Saturday 10-12.30The Opening Hours are dependent on the number and availability of our Volunteer P.A.L.s ( Paulton Library Assistants). Please keep an eye on the webpage and our Library Notice board ( soon to be installed) for a current timetable.

Paulton Community Library can offer free access to Ancestry Library Edition.  This enables you to discover:-Census returns for England & Wales from 1841 to 1911.An index to civil registrations of births, marriages and deaths.Data of family history from all over the world. Our public computer is free for all to use.

How to Join the Library


You can pop into any Library and complete a form. Please bring proof of identity and address with you or you can join online. Visit www.bathnes.gov.uk and click on the Libraries link. You can also find out about all the other benefits Library membership can offer.

The Library at Home service
If you, or someone you know is unable to visit the library, why not try the Library at Home service. This is a great way to connect with new friends and volunteers through a love of reading. You can access books, audiobooks and DVDs, regardless of your situation.
